Handmade soaps do not contain synthetic hardeners as is found in mass produced soaps.  Allow to air dry between uses.  A slatted wooden or bamboo soap dish is ideal.   Using with a bath pouf can also help to extend the life of your bar. 

For new unused bars,  store in a dry environment away from direct sunlight until ready for use.  It will continue to improve with age!
